For nearly two decades The Fireweed - Racing Across Alaska has been an event filled with fun and community. We have prided ourselves in the operation of a world class competitive event through some of the most stunning topography Alaska has to offer. Our Board and Race Committee strive to bring that same commitment to excellence to the reinvigorated 2024 event.

 

The Fireweed is not just a cycling event, we are an IRS 501(c)(3) not for profit organization EIN 27-1713242. With this designation, we are able to turn your race fees, and the generous support of our corporate donors, into a direct contribution to youth cycling organizations such as Girls Riding Into Tomorrow and Mighty Bikes. These organizations are dedicated to nurturing youth cycling in Alaska and help further our goals of fostering a community filled with young bikers.
